Paradise Beach, Raymond island, Lakes Entrance & Mallacoota

Day 4 - 27th of March

After our visit to Tarra Bulga NP we continue the road onto Paradise Beach. After a 90-minute drive we arrive at the Paradise Beach Campsite which is another Parks Victoria Campsite. Much more basic again, as we were used to from these campsites, compared to the ‘fancy’ one at Tidal River.

We spent the afternoon relaxing at Paradise Beach which is part of the long Ninety Mile Beach which goes all the way up to Lakes entrance. Where we will be heading tomorrow!

Day 5 - 28th of March

We’re leaving first thing in the morning to go to Paynesville. After the 90 minute drive we arrive in this quaint little town. We park the car near to the Paynesville Ferry Service and hop on the the free ferry over to Raymond Island. Ferries go every 20 minute so no need to worry about your timing. Once on the island the Koala Trail starts right after disembarking the ferry. The total trail is about 2km. After the walk get back on the ferry to Paynesville. It’s time to hit the road again and make our way to Lakes Entrance.

We’ll actually just be driving by Lakes Entrance. Altough it seems to be a nice place to on a relaxed holiday it doesn’t didn’t really appeal me to stay here a long time during this roadtrip. After a quick stop at Lakes Entrance Lookout and Jemmys Point Lookout, we did stop for a 5km run along the Hummocks Walk. After our run we took a refreshing shower at the open air showers of Lakes Entrance Beach.

We continue the remaining 2,5 hour road towards Mallacoota which will be the final stretch of our visit to the beautiful state of Victoria. For our last sunset in Victoria we hike up Genoa Peak. The hike up takes about one hour up and another hour to get back down.

After enjoying the sunset we made our way to Shipwreck Creek Campsite. Again a Parks Victoria Campsite since they were all free during our time here.

Day 6 - 29th of March

We woke up in the morning and drove by Secret Beach, Quarry Beach and Betka Beach. After enjoying the beautiful sceneries these beaches have on offer we have to drive off to Narooma because we have a dive planned there today at 1PM!

See you again soon Victoria!
